I haven\u2019t written a post recently for several reasons, not the least of which is I\u2019ve been trying to survive this tedious winter. But now that the forecasters are promising tonight will be the last sub-zero experience for a while, I hope to be able to start thinking about something other than trying not to freeze to death. \u00a0Once I’m sure I’m going to be around for a while, then maybe I can go back to working on getting Part 2 of The Spirit Keeper<\/em> into print.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve looked through my website, you probably know that The Spirit Keeper<\/em> was cut in half for publication in 2013, and, since that time, the original publisher has elected not to publish Part 2. Discouraged, I set Part 2 aside for a time while I worked on another project. \u00a0When I reached the point on that project that I needed to let it simmer, I put it on a back burner and returned to Part 2.<\/p>\n

What I discovered was that the hiatus was actually just what I needed. There was one section of Part 2 which had always bothered me, but I couldn\u2019t figure out what the problem was. When I returned to it after my time-out, I could finally see the problem and resolve it. The whole story is much clearer now, which makes me think maybe this extended waiting period has actually been for the best.<\/p>\n

So, take heart, my friends! The winter has been long and tedious, but sometimes it\u2019s good to take a break. \u00a0Time provides a new perspective. \u00a0For example, I used to think freezing to death wouldn\u2019t be such a bad way to go, but after all these sub-zero nights I can say for sure that I would definitely prefer NOT to freeze to death! \u00a0And though you readers who loved Part 1 of The Spirit Keeper<\/em> may be getting frustrated by the wait, I promise it’s important for you to take this time to prepare yourselves for a huge shift of perspective.<\/p>\n
