Now that I’ve finally gotten the complete Spirit Keeper saga into the hands of readers, I’ve had some time to try other things.\u00a0 The most fun I’ve had is going to powwows here in the Midwest.\u00a0 There I’ve found a community of generous, smart, kind, and interesting people who have welcomed me with open arms.<\/p>\n

Because I understand the importance of Balance, I have worked very hard to give back as much as I’ve been given.\u00a0 One way I’ve done this is to use my simple loom to weave together strands of fibers to create regalia sashes for some of the dancers.\u00a0 The more I’ve worked at this, the better I’ve gotten at it, and now I have the rare privilege of watching the results of my weaving dance in the circle!<\/p>\n

Readers sometimes write to me on this website to tell me how much they enjoyed my books, and I very much appreciate it, but I guess when it comes right down to it, I just don’t trust words.\u00a0 No one knows better than I do how words can be woven together to create all sorts of things that aren’t what they intended.\u00a0 But when I see my sashes dancing out there, I believe them.\u00a0 Dancing doesn’t lie.\u00a0 The people who wear my sashes are dancing their joy, and I feel it too.<\/p>\n
